___________________Silbermann Organ Reconstructions

All organs in the Silbermann Organ Reconstruction series are derived from sounds recorded by Lars Palo and Piotr Grabowski.

Version 6.0 uses more samples for better scaling. A few ranks have stretched or modified samples to match the harmonics of

pipes in recordings of Silbermann organs. Gottfried Silbermann had four basic types of organs: large three manual, large two

manual, small two manual, and one manual. The download package includes dispositions that are an attempt at reconstructing

the large three manual organ of the Frauenkirche and the large two manual organ of the Sophienkirche which were lost in the

bombing of Dresden. A small two manual organ is based loosely on his organ in the village of Crostau.
